据香港媒体报道，国际权威杂志《时代》最近选出影史上一百部最佳电影，除了一些好莱坞经典电影《教父》一、二集、《沙漠枭雄》、《大国民》、《400击》等入围之外，几部深受外国观众欢迎的华语片如王家卫的《重庆森林》、胡金铨七一年的武侠经典《侠女》、成龙与刘家良首度合作的《醉拳2》及陈凯歌勇夺戛纳金棕榈大奖的《霸王别姬》都有入围。
